Marvin the Martian Cake

 

Greetings Earthlings. I present you with my Marvin the Martian birthday cake. The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream and decorated with fondant.
The bottom says: I claim this planet in the name of Mars.  Well, isn't that lovely?

Cupcake Cake

My daughter has been exploring baking and cake decorating. She also wants to try new shapes and pans. So we thought of trying out a cupcake cake pan. This is our first attempt and it has gone very well.
She helped mix, bake and decorate the cake and decided to make a back to school party and have this cake.
The bottom half of the cake is chocolate and the top is vanilla, the filling is strawberry puree.

BB-8 Cake

BB-8 Cake for yet another Star Wars fan! This one is BB-8's head. The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream and fondant decorations. In all of the BB-8 pictures I found online, he was dirty, so I had to make the cake match the pictures with some food colours!

Minion Bob Cake

A minion cake that stars Bob alone! Along with some minion words. It says 'Happy Birthday' and 'Hello' on the cake.
The cake is caramel with caramel filling and vanilla buttercream on the outside. The decorations are fondant and gumpaste. The mini cake is a real cake with a gumball on top.

R2D2 Cake

An R2-D2 cake for a Star Wars birthday party. This 3D cake is decorated from all side to match R2-D2's head.
The cake is chocolate chocolate chip with vanilla buttercream and fondant decorations.

Minecraft Cupcakes

Minecraft cupcakes for a wonderful girls 8th birthday party. The cupcakes are chocolate with vanilla icing and fondant decorations.

Secret Agent Cupcakes

For her 8th Birthday, my daughter wanted cupcakes, she said she noticed her friends liked cupcakes most. So I made her cupcakes to match her birthday theme, Secret Agents.
The cupcakes are Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting. Its currently her favourite flavour! Decorations are all fondant. The wording was made to match the clues they were given during the party, where each word was divided into segments.

Ombre Rose Red Velvet Cake

Ombre roses decorate this wonderful cake. The cake is red velvet and all those roses are cream cheese icing mmmmm.

New Home Cupcakes

A close friend and wonderful supporter of my cakes bought a new home and moved. So I made her some cupcakes to start her life in her new home with sweetness!!
The cupcakes are red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Decorated with fondant. Then I packed them in these cute boxes that look like homes :).

Science Cake

What a fun birthday idea and a fun cake to go along with it. Meant to be explored with many elements from the periodic table along the bottom. But I accidentally spilled the green radioactive test tube which turned the words 'Happy Birthday' green ;)
The cake is chocolate with mint filling. It is iced with buttercream, 'faux fondant'. The decorations are fondant and gumpaste.
Pop quiz, how many elements can you name??? Here is a hint:
-pink elements are from the boron, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen groups.
-gray elements are from the transition elements.
-blue elements are from the halogens and noble gases.
-orange elements are from the alkali metals and alkali earth metals.
