Sewing Cake for a 70th birthday

A grandma that loves sewing is turning 70. What better way to celebrate than with cake?

Bubble Guppies Cake

 

A Bubble Guppies cake for a big fan. With all his favourite guppies on it. They are all made of fondant. The cake is rainbow with buttercream covering it.

Lego Cake

What a fun cake to make. A Lego cake for Ben who is turning 6. The cake is rainbow with vanilla buttercream and fondant decorations.

Pac Man Cake

Bringing back some childhood memories with this Pac Man cake. It is vanilla chocolate chip with chocolate filling and covered in buttercream. The cake is decorated with fondant.

Burger and Popcorn Cupcakes

Serene just turned 9 over the weekend. She celebrated with a dance party. Since she is a fan of cupcakes, I made for her burger and popcorn cupcakes to go with the theme.
The popcorn is chocolate with marshmallows as the popcorn. I painted some to give the illusion of butter being poured on them.
The burger is vanilla with buttercream as the tomato/ketchup, lettuce and cheese. The patties were brownies and the sesame seeds are sprinkles.

100th Birthday Cake

What an honor it is to make a cake for such an amazing milestone. The bottom tier cake is chocolate with raspberry filling and the top tier is vanilla with lemon curd filling.
Both cakes are buttercream covered with fondant and gumpaste decorations.

Piano Cake

 

 

One of my biggest fan is a super talented piano player. For her 9th birthday she wanted a piano cake in her favourite flavour, Chocolate peppermint. The cake is chocolate and the filling is peppermint with freshly crushed candy canes. The smell was amazing!!

The cake is decorated with fondant.
